《趣味机械--机械运作的原理和艺术》通过展示不同种类的、有趣的机械结构，让学生分析、探索其中的运作原理，同时将涉及到的机械基础相关知识深入浅出地渗透到对机械结构的分析研究中，使严谨的机械基础知识变得生动有趣、通俗易懂。本门课涉及到的基础知识有机械原理、工程图学、机械设计等，通过包含齿轮机构、连杆机构、凸轮机构、棘轮机构等的机械模型，将广泛的机械基础知识精炼、简化、有机的整合在一起，旨在加深学生对机械运作原理的理解，丰富不同专业背景学生的知识体系、开拓学生思维。也可促进本专业学生对机械机构等的综合理解，增加学习的趣味性，拓宽学生思路。《趣味机械--机械运作的原理和艺术》是一门具有启发性的实验课程。通过学习，使学生获得的知识更加完整，增强学生利用多学科知识解决问题的能力，培养和提高学生的创新意识和思维能力，是一门适合各专业学生学习的课程，不需要有先修课程要求。

《Interesting machine -- the principle and art of machine operation》shows a variety of interesting mechanisms. Students can analyze and explore the principle of mechanical operation and absorb the basic mechanical knowledge related. The course makes the rigorous mechanical knowledge become vivid, interesting and easy to understand. The course involves basic knowledge of 《Theory of machines and mechanisms 》、《Mechanical graphing》and《Mechanical design》. Through the mechanical model containing gear mechanism、link mechanism、cam mechanism and ratchet mechanism, the basic mechanical knowledge combines organically, which can deepen the understand of studentswith respect to the principle of machine operation and enrich the knowledge system and open up the thought of students of different majors. As to the professional students, the course applies a different view of mechanism and helps to a comprehensive understanding and increase the interest. 《Interesting machine -- the principle and art of machine operation》is an experiment course of heuristic. It helps make students’ knowledge system more complete and train students’ ability of solving problem with cross-discipinary knowledge and cultivate the innovation consciousness and thinking ability. The course fits students of different major and no prerequisite course is required.
